10 Shocking Facts About Global Slavery in 2008

"2008 witnesses the 200th anniversary
of the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade in America. Amidst the celebrations, what many people fail to realize is that slavery persists today in the modern world on an enormous scale.

In spite of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the UN in 1948 stating that "slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms," the figures accompanying the modern slave trade seem inconceivable in a global society that prides itself upon its modern-day values and emphasis on human rights."

This was an interesting and true article. My heart goes out to anyone being forced to do anything against his will. I was molested when I was younger, so I feel especially angered over sexual slavery. I plan on adopting a child from Asia one day and setting up a foundation. I saw a documentary about Cambodia that broke my heart! It all comes down to "treating your neighbor as you would like to be treated". I pray for them daily...Imagine how it would feel, Inspire to do something better

Yes... It is my greatest hope that A.) shift in conscientiousness will occur soon and B.) Human kind will be ready to except it and go where it leads us.

I thought the part about self generating debt systems and the constant working to get out of debt sounded deathly familiar... hum?

World wide slavery is what's next. An elite few that enslave the entire population of the planet. using tactics to divide us amongst ourselves and aim pain at each other. The process has already begun. Free yourself now and encourage others to do the same... Choose to realize what is going on around you and choose to do your best to do otherwise...
